Apres Bar: Reading’s ski lodge venue where you can book a mini chalet and drink mulled wine

Members of the public can sit outside in the wintry weather to enjoy a pint or sit in a mini-heated chalet with up to eight friends, enjoying mulled wine and winter cocktails.

Readings’ Apres Bar has recently opened to the public, who will be able to book private heated mini chalets for a festive drink this Christmas period.

The ski bar opened on November 26 in Forbury Gardens, Reading, and will close its doors on December 31.

Punters will be able to purchase mulled wine, winter cocktails, and frosty beers from the bar.

The bar opens from 3pm until 10 pm on Monday to Friday, and on Saturdays and Sundays, the ski lodge will open at 12 noon and shut at 10pm.

During the week, chalet bookings cost £20 for a 1hr 50 minute slot, and on Saturdays, the cost increases to £30.

The chalets can seat up to eight people and bookings can be made consecutively.

Apres Bar is a recurring feature during the Christmas period in Reading and the ski bar was battered by Storm Eleanor in 2018.

Following the recent chilly weather brought over by Storm Arwen, this year’s Ski Lodge has received a kind smattering of snow.
