A tiny takeaway in Reading Town Centre has won an award for its excellent customer service. My Warsaw is a takeaway in the Village food hall near the Oracle Shopping Centre that sells authentic Polish food.
Klaudia Kulesza set up My Warsaw with her partner Rafal in October 2021. The couple had their hearts set on a takeaway spot so that they could offer a taste of Poland to the people of Reading – specifically Polish street food, which you don’t typically find in Polish restaurants.
The takeaway has been open for just over a year but it’s already received an accolade. Restaurant Guru is a review and rating-based website that has gifted My Warsaw with a ‘Certificate of Excellence’ for its customer service and positive reviews.
Klaudia was delighted to have received the award from Restaurant Guru. She mentioned that she has her “lovely customers” to thank for the award and said that it means a lot to her and her partner.
The business owner said: “Me and my partner have always been involved in gastronomy. We opened a takeaway to show people Polish street food, which you will not find in a Polish restaurant. Our flagship dish is Zapiekanka – the queen of polish street food.
“In addition to the classic version known to everyone, we have created several modern variations of this dish. Our main goal is to be always fresh and authentic. We also offer hand-made dumplings and hot dogs. Everything is done at the time of ordering. Fresh and tasty. In the future, we would like to add more options to our menu.”
You can find My Warsaw inside the Village in Reading Town Centre located next to Banh Mi QB and the Churros Kitchen.
