A new coffee shop will be set to open doors in Reading this summer. Black Sheep Coffee already boasts coffee shops and cocktail bars across the UK, France and the Philippines.
Located in Queen Victoria Street in Reading, the coffee shop is set to open on July 26 in place of a former Caffè Nero. It will be the second Black Sheep coffee shop to open in Berkshire – with one already open in Windsor.
The building received Grade II listed status in December 1978 which meant any alterations being made required approval. The new coffee place is well underway as the building shows scaffolding around the place along with Black Sheep Coffee signage.
The company has around 45 branches across the UK offering unique signature drinks, a coffee bean subscription and Norwegian waffles. The signature flavours include: Robusta Revival, Rebel Decaf, Love Berries, Blue Volcano and Bossa Nova.
Each one holds its own story as to where the beans come from, when they are harvested and the significant flavours each one gives. The Robusta Revival was “sourced from the mineral rich soils along the Bhadra river and producing intense chocolatey flavours, there was no hesitation in picking this bean as our house espresso.”
Black Sheep Coffee co-founder Eirik Holth said: “Our customers have been asking us about Reading for years and we’re super excited to finally open the first Black Sheep Coffee in this epic historical town!”
