Wall’s has recalled ice-lollies from its Twister Peek-a-Blue range due to ‘undeclared milk’ in the products.
The ice cream giant has issued product recall for both multi-packs and single-serve Twiter Peek-A-Blues.
No other Wall’s or Twister products are affected by the cross-contamination.
The ice lollies are sold by major supermarkets across the UK including including Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Asda, Morrisons and Iceland.
Wall’s said: “Wall’s is taking the precautionary measure of recalling all batches of Twister Peek-A-Blue (5 multi-pack and single-serve) due to the possibility of higher than expected cross-contamination levels of milk.
“The safety of the people that buy and use our products is always our number one priority, which is why we are taking the voluntary precaution of recalling all batches as it could pose a safety risk to those people with an allergy or intolerance to milk.”
The recall notice, released through the Food Standards Agency, urges anyone who has bought the lollies who has an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents not to eat them.
Instead they should contact the Unilever careline team on freephone number 0800 146252 or email on email@example.com for further information.”
