If you’re currently looking for employment, there are a number of roles up for grabs in Berkshire this August.

The Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead Council is advertising its latest openings.

Many are being advertised on behalf of adult social care company Optalis, who provide support in partnership with the council, and Wokingham Borough Council.

Exploitation & Vulnerable Young Person Transition Advisor 16 to 25

The job advert reads: “The Exploitation and Vulnerable Person Transition Advisor will provide practical help and direct support to young people and young adults using the service from the age of 18 who reside in the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead.”

“They will work with Achieving for Children (AfC) teams to identify the appropriate cohort (and with exploitation risk) of young people and young adults.”

Achieving for Children is a social enterprise created by Kingston and Richmond Councils in 2014, expanding into the Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead in 2017.

They are responsible for delivering the entirety of children’s services in all three local authorities.

Contract type: Contract/ Full time (one year fixed term contract).

Hours: 37 a week

Salary: £25,303 – £28,812 pa

Fostering Social Worker

The job advert reads: “The Social Workers role will be to work with colleagues to provide the full range of fostering services, including recruitment, form F assessments, training and supervision/support of approved carers, duty services, additionally the fostering service in Maidenhead complete Form C and Special Guardianship Assessments for the Royal Borough children services.”

“They will undertake a range of work to safely place and work to achieve permanency plans for children. Achieving for Children work within the framework of signs of safety, and we place a strong emphasis on support, as well as peer group supervision sessions.”
