Windsor, 2nd August 2021: Tortilla, the UK’s largest fast-casual Mexican restaurant brand, will open the doors of its 46th store, located in Windsor, on Friday 6th August with a free lunch for locals.
Celebrating the launch in true fiesta style, customers can register at www.tortilla.co.uk/windsor and pop down to the new store, located at 12a Peascod Street, SL4 1DU, between 12-2pm* for a tasty free lunch. For customers unable to make it on Friday, the store will also be offering 2-for-1 on main meals when dining in from Saturday 7th August** – the perfect excuse to catch-up with a friend for dinner.
The launch of Tortilla Windsor brings with it the brand’s customisable and authentic, California-style menu, with dishes to suit all tastes, cravings or dietary requirements. Whether ordering in-store, click-and-collect to takeaway, or for delivery, customers can build their own meal with a choice of tasty fillings such as Mexican rice, black beans, grilled seasonal veggies and fresh mild, medium and hot salsas, including their hand-smashed guacamole.
Its choice of protein—served in tacos, burritos, bowls, quesadillas and atop nachos queso —includes slow-cooked Barbacoa with grass-fed British Isle brisket, grilled chicken or succulent pulled carnitas pork. Approved by the Vegetarian & Vegan Society, Tortilla also serves ‘Chilli No Carne’ made with Club Cultured’s organic tempeh or a choice of grilled veggies. All toppings are prepared fresh on-site each morning and every dish is made to order.
In addition to being highly customisable, Tortilla provides an affordable bite-to-eat with burritos from £6.20, a trio of tacos from £6, and chips and salsa from £1.45. Its loyalty club also offers customers complimentary chips and salsa or burritos after reaching purchase milestones—ideal for local workers or shoppers visiting Windsor Royal Station. For a limited time, customers can also make the most of double loyalty points from Thursday 12th August – Thursday 30th September***.
The new store will be led by General Manager Lee Cook and has created 25 jobs for local people across front-of-house, kitchen and management roles.
Richard Morris, Managing Director of Tortilla, said: “We can’t wait to introduce our brand to Windsor with our grand opening this Friday. We have a fantastic location on Peascod street which will provide locals with a convenient and delicious spot for lunch, dinner, or after work drinks.
