Golf Breaks From The Norm With Foresight Simulation

Foresight Simulation

Golf travel specialist GolfBreaks.com offers the opportunity to play golf at more than 100 top courses – all from the comfort of its Berkshire HQ, thanks to the installation of a Foresight Sports simulator.

Located to the side of a ‘break-out’ room, the full simulator has proved immensely popular, not only with the Windsor-based company’s many corporate visitors and clients, but also with the 140-strong staff, who are able to book time on it before and after work. And GolfBreaks.com also uses the simulator when the ‘team’ looks to raise money for charity.

Sales director Richard Clements said: “Having the Foresight Sports simulator enables us to host regular staff activities and competitions, including longest drive and nearest the pin. We recently raised several hundred pounds for Sport Relief by holding a nearest-the-pin competition and, with the range of teeing, wind and pin positions, were able to ensure a level playing field for all staff regardless of their playing ability.

“It allows for great interaction across all levels of the business – it’s not uncommon to find a director and a placement student battling it out to be nearest the pin at Royal Troon’s Postage Stamp eighth hole.

“We’re a golf company through and through – having the GC2 has really enabled our staff to maintain that passion and interest in playing the game and reinforces our golfing credentials. It’s a great perk for staff and is another tool that helps with staff retention.”

The presence of the Foresight simulator in the company’s premises may also pay dividends for the manufacturer.

Clements added: “We are able to showcase both the simulator and GC2 (Game Changer 2) technologies to our suppliers and golf industry. More than 500 visitors are in the office each year and the majority are hugely engaged with the system. As a partner of the PGA and the PGA’s of Europe we are able to host members and visitors and enjoy playing some of the world’s iconic courses from the comfort of the office.”

The leading golf travel company was established in 1998 and offers breaks to more than 2,000 venues in the UK, Europe and beyond. The Foresight simulator doesn’t offer that many courses but it does allow users to experience more than 100 of the world’s top tracks.

Foresight Sports technology continues to lead the way with the world’s oldest golf magazine, Golf Monthly, the latest to adopt the GC2. And the world’s leading golf teacher – at least according to US magazine Golf Digest – Butch Harmon, is installing Foresight Sports technology in all of his academies after declaring “there’s nothing that can compare with the GC2; it’s far and away the best we’ve ever used”.

In the UK, the last three Foremost Golf ‘professionals of the year’ award winners have each credited Foresight Sports’ GC2 for revolutionising their business, while it is GC2 technology which drives the much-lauded Sky Sports Shot Centre on the broadcaster’s weekly PGA Tour coverage.

It is the only technology available that can be upgraded from launch monitor to full simulator – all while providing the most accurate data available in the industry, thus guaranteeing wholly realistic indoor golf.

The GC2 – which directly measures all essential ball data at launch using ultra-high-speed cameras – and HMT (Head Measurement Technology), which, independently, directly measures all critical club data at impact, is the most in-demand technology in golf, having revolutionised club fitting and analysis since its launch in 2010.

It was swiftly approved and recommended by many of the world’s leading club manufacturers including Titleist, Cleveland/Srixon, Cobra/Puma, PING and TaylorMade and dozens of other leading brands within the golf industry. Leading High Street golf retailer American Golf has also installed GC2 in 35 of its stores – including its newest outlets in Oxford and the flagship store in Monument, London.

Foresight’s technology images the exact movement of the dimple patterns on the golf ball, to ensure pure, accurate, reliable data, making it the only technology suitable for all seasons and conditions – whether indoors or on the range – and is the only launch monitor able to provide trusted data for every club, every shot, every player and every swing, all to the highest accuracy levels in the industry.
